SOS (ΒΙΑΙΟΣ) ΣΕΞΙΣΜΟΣ

Το εμετικό κύμα γυναικοκτονιών που μαστίζει τη χώρα και καταβαραθρώνει (έστω από σπόντα) την υπόληψη του ανδρικού πληθυσμού της χώρας, οφείλει να ανασχεθεί χωρίς καμία καθυστέρηση.

Δεν αναφέρομαι εδώ στην αυτονόητη ανάγκη ανάσχεσης μέσω της εφαρμογής ή/και ενίσχυσης του νομικού πλαισίου, αλλά σε αυτήν που θα ξεκινήσει και θα «ανδρωθεί» από τα κάτω.

Αν υπάρχει ενδεδειγμένη λύση, αυτή μοιάζει να είναι μία ταυτόχρονα μαζική (αλλά και ατομική) συνειδητοποίηση ήθους και καθήκοντος από την πλευρά της ευρείας πλειονότητας του ανδρικού πληθυσμού.

Μιλώ για μία ενσυνείδητη αντίσταση στην προσφυγή στην ψυχολογική πίεση, τη μυϊκή δύναμη και το έγκλημα, είτε αυτή αφορά τρίτα πρόσωπα, είτε τον ίδιο τον εγκρατή εαυτό κάθε ενός νοήμονος άνδρα που εμφορείται από το ελάχιστο ηθικό ανάστημα που κάποτε η κοινωνία ονόμαζε «ανδρισμό».

Σε προηγούμενο γραπτό μου παρουσίαζα την εποχή κατά την οποία, στον προηγούμενο αιώνα, είχα συνιδρύσει την SOS ΡΑΤΣΙΣΜΟΣ, οργάνωση για την απόκρουση της απαξίωσης, της (φυλετικής ή άλλης) διάκρισης, της άσκησης βίας και bullying σε βάρος ανθρώπων διαφορετικών από την κοινωνική πλειονότητα.

Όπως (παρά κάποιες ενδείξεις) δεν περίμενα εκείνη την εποχή ότι η (εξ ιδεολογίας προσφεύγουσα στη βία) ΧΡΥΣΗ ΑΥΓΗ που στοχοποιούσε τότε την οργάνωσή μας, θα γινόταν κάποιες δεκαετίες αργότερα κόμμα κοινοβουλευτικό με αξιοπρόσεκτο εκλογικό ποσοστό, έτσι και δεν περίμενα ότι θα προέκυπτε «μόδα» σεξιστικής βίας μερικά χρόνια πριν το 2030.

Η ψυχοκοινωνιολογία μπορεί φυσικά να ερμηνεύσει το φαινόμενο.

Προσεγγίζοντάς το μέσα από τις ιδιότητες του γιου, συζύγου και πατέρα γυναίκας, αλλά και του ενεργού πολίτη που το παρατηρεί και αισθάνεται το χρέος της αυτοδέσμευσης για αντίσταση σε αυτό, προσέφυγα, με όσα μέσα βρίσκονταν στη διάθεσή μου, κατά το πρόσφατο παρελθόν, σε όσες δυνατότητες μου παρείχαν οι ιδιότητές μου.

Μία από αυτές ήταν συναφής με τον επαγγελματικό μου ρόλο σε εταιρεία η ηγεσία της οποίας πρωτοπόρησε στον εν Ελλάδι εταιρικό ακτιβισμό για την προστασία της υπόστασης και των δικαιωμάτων της γυναίκας, συναντώντας τόσο την υποστήριξη του κοινωνικού συνόλου μια περιφέρειας, όσο και τη διάκριση από θεσμούς επιβράβευσης της επιχειρηματικής καινοτομίας.          

Το σύνθημα «Κάτω τα χέρια από τον φίλο μου» της SOS ΡΑΤΣΙΣΜΟΣ, έγινε «Κάτω τα χέρια από τα κορίτσια» συνοδευόμενο από διακήρυξη εταιρικής αυτοδέσμευσης

και υιοθετήθηκε και από άλλες εταιρείες του ομίλου που ταξίδεψαν το ροζ γιλέκο με το παλιό χεράκι-σύμβολο αποτροπής της βίας μέχρι το Περού.   

SOS (VIOLENT) SEXISM

The nauseating wave of femicide that is plaguing the country and destroying (even if only by spur of the moment) the reputation of the male population must be stopped without any delay.

I am not referring here to the self-evident need for containment through the implementation and/or strengthening of the legal framework, but to the one that will be initiated from below.

If there is an appropriate solution, it seems to be a simultaneously massive (but also individual) awareness of morality and duty on the part of the vast majority of the male population.

I am talking about a conscious resistance to recourse to psychological pressure, muscle power and crime, whether this involves third parties or the own abstemious self of every single intelligent man inspired by the minimum moral stature that society once called 'manhood'.

In a previous writing, I presented the time when, in the last century, I co-founded the organization SOS RACISM, to fight against the denigration, discrimination (racial or otherwise), violence and bullying against people different from the social majority.

Just as (despite some indications) I did not expect at that time that GOLDEN DAWN nazi-inspired movement (ideologically resorting to violence), which targeted our organisation at that time, would become a parliamentary party with a remarkable electoral percentage some years before 2030.

Psycho-sociology can of course explain the phenomenon.

Approaching it through the qualities of a son, husband and father of a woman, but also of an active citizen who observes it and feels the duty of self-commitment to resist it, I have resorted, with all the means at my disposal in the recent past, to the possibilities provided by my qualities.

One of these was related to my professional role in a company whose leadership pioneered corporate activism in Greece for the protection of women's status and rights, meeting with both the support of a regional community and the distinction of institutions rewarding business innovation.         

The slogan "Hands off my friend" of SOS RATSISMOS became "Hands off the girls" accompanied by a declaration of corporate commitment

and was adopted by other companies in the group who travelled the pink vest with the old hand-me-down violence deterrence symbol all the way to Peru.

 

HANDS OFF THE GIRLS “YOU TOO” DECLARATION:

The more human society endorses principles that are self-evident, the more it admits its failure to deserve to be called "human".

 

The events happening in Greece during these last months that negate the human condition of women must stop once and for all. It must stop now!

 

The only way is for the society to defend her human condition: she surpasses herself in order to climb steps with dignity, to be justified, to give life and to shape citizens who will progress in conditions of equal rights and equal opportunities.

 

A mother, a worker, a breadwinner, a scientist, a manager or a leader in the field she has chosen or in the field that has chosen her, a fellow life companion, a pragmatist but also an everyday fighter, she risks her life, her physical integrity, her honor and her reputation as if we had not entered the third decade of the 21st century.

 

She deserves recognition. For this to happen, she is entitled to defend her self-evident rights, which the institutions, but also of society as a whole are bound to respect and ensure.

 

Act now and do what you owe to your human condition, which you owe to a woman.

 

YOU TOO commit now to what you will do and publicly confront with your commitments in March 2023.

 

The clock is already ticking and 2022 must be a more reasonable, just and humane year than the inhuman one we experienced in 2021.
